Welcome!
When we began work on this mission in 1982 the Lord gave us a vision to extend His Kingdom through working with children, "For such as these is the Kingdom of God." (Luke 8:16.) The Lord spoke to us of the power that there is in raising up leaders for Him in the tradition of Samuel, whose mother had the wisdom and insight to give back to the Lord that precious gift of a son. Few Biblical characters demonstrated the impeccable leadership which Samuel did. The Bible tells us that things went well for the Israelites under his leadership.

We also sensed the Lord directing us into what He might call a "Kingdom" work, rather than a "church" focus, although the church is part of His Kingdom. Our region of focus, the state of Guanajuato in Mexico, is widely recognized as the state least evangelized in the country and with the smallest evangelical population. There are still many people in this area to whom going to an evangelical church service, even once, would be a horrible abomination and would invoke the scorn of family, friends, and society in general. We must find ways to take the person of Jesus Christ and a knowledge of His Word to their lives where they are, with the assurance that as Jesus Christ begins to govern their lives, they will be transformed as individuals, as families, as communities, and as a nation.

A church in San Miguel
The Conlons purchased 13 acres of land in 1982 near San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico for the purpose of establishing an inter-denominational Christian Community which would work together in different areas of life toward the establishment of the Kingdom of God in this region and this nation effecting change socially, politically, and culturally. For this purpose a non-profit organization was established in 1983 called Reino de Dios, A.C. (Kingdom of God, Inc.) Since that time the organization has been sustained financially by individuals like you.

In 1992 a separate non-profit organization was formed for our school Instituto Juan Gutenberg, named for the inventor of the printing press and known for the first book he printed, "The Gutenberg Bible," making the Word of God accessible to the common people and, literally changing the world.
